John Lennon (1940 – 1980)

“I’m shot”

The musician and ex-Beatle was murdered by Mark Chapman outside the entrance of the Dakota where he was residing in New York City. John Lennon was shot four times in the back and collapsed, he was taken to Roosevelt hospital where attempts were made to resuscitate him but died from his injuries.

Marvin Gaye (1939 – 1984)

Kurt Cobain (1967 – 1994)

Quoting Neil Young lyrics in his suicide note. The musician and Nirvana front man died from a self-inflicted shotgun wound to the head, his body was found three days later. Kurt Cobain was aged 27 at the time of his death.
